Fight Fire

Md. Imroz Shahriar Shaik

Ambassador, Bangladesh

In the context of Bangladesh, death by fire has become a common accident this days. It has been seen that most of the buildings doesn’t have enough anti-fire pre-protective measures.

This accidents usually takes place in mills, factories, oil refineries, garments industries, chemical storages, residential buildings, shops, offices and commercial centers. Many people die. Many become crippled. Lose their properties and become destitute. Both in rural and urban areas the prime cause for fire is lack of consciousness. And often the sources of fire are burning ovens, lamps, mosquito coils, cigarettes and hurricanes (kerosene lamps) etc. in the urban areas the source of fire is gas line or electric short circuits.

Due to fire, people become panicked. But if they were not panicked and took the right measures to put off the fire, there would not be so much damage. The fire service and civil departments of Pabna region were invited to Pabna Cadet College locality to introduce the people with various ways to fight fire. They were taught what to do during fire. They were benefitted much.
