My role model is Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “Father of the Nation”. He was a great visionary and had a lot of respect for the traditional values and cultures. He was an advert lover of the environment. He had a vision for the UAE, uniting the different emirates into one. The land of desert and no water had turned into the present UAE with his great efforts.
Sheikh Zayed have welcomed expats from around the world who have made the UAE their home. He was a very humble and tolerant person. He always emphasized that the real wealth of a nation is by investing in people and not material gain as the people will build the future of the nation.
H.H supported with funds for planting trees in Al Ain in order to transform Abu Dhabi into a green city. He was a man of profound religious faith and generosity, a hard worker and a great visionary who lead the people of UAE into a new era of development and prosperity.
A great leader who worked diligently for the welfare of the people by investing the funds for education, equality and employment.
Yet another leadership value that I admire in H.H is his simple and direct approach. He had the ability to express his vision and values to the people and fellow rulers. He had a straightforward communication.
Dignity, respect, harmony and mutual respect were other great values practiced by H.H. . He instilled a deep pride in his people. He set challenging goals for the young nation. He was a down to earth person. I really admire his problem solving abilities.
I want to follow the footsteps of this leader for his generosity, humbleness and understanding nature. The Founding Father of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the greatest conservationist. His foresight and vision long preceded the present-day global conservationists' movement.
Sheikh Zayed adopted conservationists' values as a matter of conviction and necessity. He loved nature and wildlife and, above all, he understood the importance of preserving every drop of water and putting it to productive use.
